Here’s how we used ChatGPT to keep character design and branding consistent for a snack company like Abby’s Better Nut Butter Bites—and how you can do it too.

1. Start with the Product at the Center

Before designing anything else, upload or reference a clean product image. In our case, it was a vibrant package of Abby’s Better Nut Butter Bites in the Coconut Cashew flavor.

We asked ChatGPT (paired with an image generation model like DALL·E) to place this product in a scene that made sense: something tropical, with coconuts and cashews visually reinforcing the flavor profile. The result? A lush rainforest background that felt fresh, natural, and healthy—mirroring the brand’s ethos.

2. Define Your Character Once—and Lock It In

For a snack ad, you’ll often need a character enjoying the product. The tricky part? Making sure that character stays exactly the same across multiple scenes.

Using ChatGPT, we prompted it to create a cheerful woman with specific visual markers:

  • Mustard yellow tank top

  • Dark jeans

  • Matching skin tone, hair, and expression

  • Holding the Abby’s Better packaging

Once we had the first image, we reused those character details in follow-up prompts. The result was perfect visual continuity. The same woman appeared across multiple backgrounds, smiling in one scene, savoring a bite in another—all without losing consistency in outfit, facial features, or product display.

3. Describe Every Scene in Detail

ChatGPT thrives on detail. Here’s one of the prompts we used:

"The image shows a cheerful woman standing in front of a vibrant yellow background decorated with floating cashew nuts and half coconuts. She is smiling, holding a package of Abby's Better Nut Butter Bites. The packaging should highlight it's protein-infused, vegan, gluten-free, peanut-free, and soy-free."

We also described the background mood, lighting, and color palette to maintain brand tone. Whether it was a rainforest scene or a simple hero shot, each scene matched the brand’s clean, health-conscious vibe.

4. Keep the Product Packaging Accurate

Beyond the character, you also want the product packaging to stay identical across all images. ChatGPT helped us do that by ensuring the packaging’s logo, tagline, and health benefits (like “plant-based” and “gluten-free”) were correctly positioned and readable in every image.

This prevents a major pitfall—mismatched labels or unreadable fonts—especially important when working with AI-generated visuals.

5. Prep for Animation with Dream Machine

Once we had a full image set with consistent characters and products, we brought those assets into Luma Labs’ Dream Machine to animate them. This elevated the static ad into a fully dynamic snack commercial—something you could run on Instagram, TikTok, or even TV.

With tools like Dream Machine, you can maintain character fidelity while bringing motion and emotion into the frame.

6. Save Time Without Sacrificing Quality

Traditionally, making these visuals would involve Photoshop, manual lighting adjustments, and hours of retouching. With AI tools and well-structured prompts, we did it in a fraction of the time—without losing the polish. These AI-generated ads looked realistic, cohesive, and brand-ready.
